Thank you for enrolling in this SQL for Beginners 2022 Course.

In this SQL course, you will learn the SQL programming language, the SQL basics and fundamentals in a practical manner. We will start with a brief introduction to the SQL programming language. Next, we will get an Overview of Databases and the Relational Database Management System - RDBMS. We will install Microsoft SQL Server in Docker Container to start learning. This installation section will provide you with a brief introduction to Docker. Docker is an open platform for developing, shipping, and running applications. It provides an isolated environment to run applications. Using a Healthcare System use case, we will create a database, create tables, and finally insert some data into those tables.

After the SQL Server installation, we will then dive into heart of this course. If you’ve made it this far, you should congratulate yourself. This is where the fun begins….performing basic SQL operations on the data to learn the SQL in a practical way. We will cover SQL syntax, and SQL DML operations used to access, modify or retrieve the data from the database.

At the end of this course, you will be able to perform SQL operations to retrieve, update and insert data into a database. This course will provide first hand knowledge for new data engineers and software developers. We will learn first hand using examples in a real-world database.
